Nancy Jo Adams, aka Guru Huntress at The WON, aka blogger at Shenanigans from the Field, writes a rather uplifting post — considering the topic is roadkill — in a recent installment at her blog. Last weekend in Kentucky, she saw a beautiful furry sorrel colored “critter,” as she calls it, lying dead in the road. She stopped the truck, identified it, picked it up and put it in a plastic bag and the rest … will be history in a mount on her mantel. See the story here. We think it’s a great way to conserve and actually, to honor a beautiful animal.
