I have had this sweet bag for some time now and it was sent to me to “try” out. I have put it through some unbelievable paces.
It has rolled through snow in November to and from the deer shack. I have drug it through the gravel and spring mud on the way to expos and shows by its retractable handle. The push button on the handle makes it easy to extend partway or to full extension with one hand.
It has been overloaded with Prois clothing and Camp Wild Girls logo wear until it is bulging at the seams. It is my bag of choice to take all the baby paraphernalia with, when spending a couple of days at Grandma’s. Sometimes I have to lay on it like a pair of tight jeans to get it zipped, but it keeps on taking a licking.
It is a Blackhawk. Just the name alone reinforces that it is tough. Even more important than being tough, it is well planned out bag. There are nine interior mesh pouches for gear storage. It sports an easy open lid and a cushioned compartment inside that is perfect for ammunition or other semi-valuable items that need a bit more cushion (i.e. toys). It has loop handles on each end and the two side handle straps have Velcro to hold them together.
It does have on major downfall. I have to part ways with this bag, (sadly) when it comes to travel by air. It is oversized for airline industry standards. Ultimately, I have literally, drug this bag, through rain, sleet and snow and it delivers every time!~Terri Lee Pocernich

I have this bag in the middle size and it is PERFECT. Matter of fact I started the Gear Court review on it when I ran across your entry here…so my review will run at a later date. BUT, I have to say my A.L.E.R.T. Bag is the absolute best bag I have ever traveled with. It is perfect for my hunting gear on one side and my street clothes on the other. The small compartment that is also on the street clothes side is perfect for belts, gloves, socks and other accessories. Richard and I use it on short trips and it eliminates having to take two separate bags. We have flown 8 times with my A.L.E.R.T. bag and it meets size restrictions and if you pack it precisely you can stay under the 50# weight restriction…it usually weighs in at 45.5 pounds…LOL!! I use my digital scale at home 🙂 !!
Terri…you HAVE TO GET the next size down for air travel, it is definitely worth the investment. As much as we are on the road…you will never find a bag with a more perfect fit for what we do!
Great review. 🙂
This bag is definitely guilty of partying with me. In fact it is hauling a boat load of clothing to midland tonight! Love love love it.
Here is a link to the size bag I have that is air flight ready…
