Ono’s Trading Company®, the pioneer of polarized sunglasses with bifocal magnification, has introduced three new models styled for men and women with narrow faces or small facial features.
Okracoke
The new models are Ocracoke™ with tortoise frames and amber lens, Grand Lagoon™ with black frames and grey lens, and Tuscadero™ with pink frames and grey lens.
The new ophthalmic-quality sunglasses, as with all the models in Ono’s portfolio, have low profile bifocal magnifiers for reading and other close up tasks. The upper portion of the lens is for normal distance vision or for distance vision corrected by bifocals.
“These new models complement all facial shapes and are particularly well-styled for individuals with smaller faces or faces with small features,” said Chris Nelson, national sales manager.

Ocracoke™, Grand Lagoon™ and Tuscadero™ have memory-flex TR-90 frames, durable rubber nose pads for comfort, and high quality CR-39 lenses with 100 percent UVA-UVB polarization. The new models and all Ono’s frame styles are available with reader powers of 1.5, 1.75, 2.00, 2.25, and 2.50.
The three new smaller-frame models join three titanium models – Longitude™, Latitude™ and Schooner™– plus seven other models from Ono’s with memory-flex TR-90 frames and CR-39 lens – Breton™, Curlew™, Carabelle™, Oak Harbor™, Grand Gosier™, Vieux Carré™, and Harbor Docks™
Ono’s Trading Company employs patented technology to produce the unique sunglasses, which replace awkward alternatives like clip-ons, flip-ups, stick-ons and oversized dark glasses worn over prescription glasses.
Ono’s has models with grey, amber or blue-mirror lenses. Amber lenses provide brighter field and more color contrast and often are preferred by snow skiers and snowmobilers on cloudy days and by shallow water sight-fishing anglers who want to see underwater structure. Others prefer grey lenses, such as at sporting events, because of accurate color transmission. Blue mirror lenses are ideal for use in highly reflective conditions such as on the deck of a cruise ship or a ski slope on a sunny day.
