Business owner, veteran guide, female powerhouse, and so much more have set Angela Hawse up for her new role as President of the Board of Directors of the American Mountain Guides Association (AMGA). The industry’s excitement is evident as the multifaceted Hawse—who has more than 35 years of guiding experience—accepts the appointment.
“Angela is stepping in at a critical time for our industry,” AMGA Executive Director Alex Kosseff said in a news release. “Hawse will bring a new perspective to AMGA’s table and current conversations, including inclusion and equality, public lands access, and professionalism in the guiding field.”
Hawse is no stranger to the AMGA, having served in various leadership positions with the organization since 2003, and she was the first woman to join AMGA’s Instructor Team. This recognized, influential organization has chosen an intersectional and experienced leader to push growth and provide necessary support to the guiding community.
