In light of the recent attack on her character because she hunts, Eva Shockey has issued the release of a special tee shirt that states “I’ll never apologize for being a hunter!” Shockey felt moved to create this shirt as a result of the recent backlash she received from the anti-hunting community after a North Carolina black bear hunt. Shockey is star of “Jim Shockey’s Hunting Adventures” on Outdoor Channel.
“I am Eva Shockey and I am a hunter. As hunters, we need to stand strong, unite as one and NEVER apologize for being who we are! We should focus our energy on being the best hunters we can be by challenging ourselves to be ethical, respectful and responsible so as to humbly uphold our proud heritage. Now, let’s get out there and enjoy the great outdoors!”
The shirts come in a variety of colors, including black, gray, raspberry, purple and pink — in men’s and women’s sizes, from XS to 6 XL. The shirts will only be sold until Dec. 9, and Shockey hopes people will show their support by posting photos of themselves in their new shirts at social media outlets.
