Participants will learn the basics of handgun safety, shooting techniques, equipment, loading, unloading, and more. Participants will follow-up the classroom session with mentored shooting practice at a local indoor shooting range.

“The purchase and use of handguns has become increasingly popular in the last several years and this class is a great introduction to handgun shooting in a friendly, safe environment,” said MDC Outdoor Skills Specialist Brian Flowers. “Target shooting is a fun activity that is enjoyed by women of all ages.”

The class is open to women 18 and older. To register or for more information, contact Flowers at Brian.Flowers@mdc.mo.gov or 573-815-7901, ext. 3388.
