Team Benelli shines during 2013 season
ACCOKEEK, MD (September 2013) –– Team Benelli rose to the challenge during four major shotgun events of the 2013 season. Most notably was Team Benelli’s Katie Harris, who earned Top Lady at all four shotgun championships this year and Patrick Kelley, who managed to pick up three consecutive championships in Pump Division.
“Pump-action shotguns require nearly perfect technique to master,” explained Patrick Kelley. “My Benelli teammate, Jansen Jones and I posted times with our Benelli SuperNova’s that rivaled many of the semi-auto shooters. We look forward to continuing the SuperNova’s dominance.”

At the final major of the season—the 2013 Nordic Components Tactical Shotgun Championships—James Casanova was overall Champion in the Tactical Division, while Rob Romero took 2nd place in that same division. In the Pump Division, Patrick Kelley was overall Champion with Jansen Jones following close behind to take 2nd place. Katie Harris distinguished herself with her fourth consecutive High Lady ranking.
“I could not have won the Gold Medal at the Pan Am Championship without my Benelli,” said Katie Harris. “In every shotgun match I shot I saw other competitors’ shotguns go down, and they often asked me if they could borrow my Benelli.”
The Nordic Components event drew over 120 competitors from around the country to its range in St.Cloud, MN. Competitors were challenged by 14 courses of fire that required at least 275 rounds to complete. The stage challenges varied from having to wear gas masks and running more than 100 yards while engaging targets, to crawling through tunnels and shooting on the move. Team Benelli members stepped up to the task, pitting their skills against the challenges in order to put their Benellis on the podium.
