Marti Davis spends time in southern Illinois every fall and spring season and usually, comes home with a tagged animal or two in her truck. This turkey season, Marti bagged a gobbler that weighed 19 1/2 pounds on April 23. She said the ole boy lit down and was a goner by 6:10 a.m. He touted a 9 1/2-inch beard and 7/8-inch spurs.
