The West Virginia Department of Natural Resources will offer its annual Becoming an Outdoors-Woman spring workshop beginning Fri., April 19, and ending Sun., April 21, at North Bend State Park in Cairo. The weekend offers women 18 and older an opportunity to learn outdoors skills or to improve on these skills among like-minded participants.
The workshops include four classes, including choices such as Deer Hunting, Digital Nature Photography, Firearms Safety, Handgun, Rifle, Shotgun and other clinics.
Fees — including two nights’ accommodations, meals and four classes, along with materials–total $150. Some classes will incur additional fees. If a woman brings a new participant, she will qualify for the reduced price of $125. Registration is first come, first served.
