Manchester, VT – Visit the American Museum of Fly Fishing this Saturday, March 10 at 10 AM to learn about tying feather-wing streamers with pro tier Peggy Brenner. The Museum is located at 4104 Main Street in Manchester, next to The Orvis Company store.
Peggy will show you how to step up your tying with a more advanced feather-wing streamer pattern. Many tiers find it difficult to properly align the feathers with streamer patterns. Peggy will show you how to master it!
About Peggy Brenner:
Peggy Brenner has been tying flies professionally for a more than a decade. While her specialties are flies that fish well in New England and the Florida Keys, she began with the basics, progressed to classic Maine streamers, and now ties salmon flies. She currently is a member of several pro teams, including Whiting Farms, Daiichi Hooks, and Nymph-Head Beads, and gives fly-tying instruction, presentations, and demonstrations all over the United States.
About the American Museum of Fly Fishing:
Established in 1968 in Manchester, Vermont, the American Museum of Fly Fishing was created to preserve and exhibit the treasures of American angling.
Today, the museum serves as a repository for, and conservator to, the world’s largest collection of angling and angling-related items, numbering in the thousands. Our collections and exhibits thoroughly document the evolution of fly fishing as a sport, art form, craft, and industry in the U.S. and abroad, dating as far back as the 16th century. Rods, reels, flies, tackle, art, photographs, manuscripts, and books form the major portions of the Museum’s collections.
The Museum, a nationally accredited, nonprofit, educational institution, supports a publications program where books, catalogs, prints, art, and a national quarterly journal, The American Fly Fisher, are made available to the public.
Visitors may access in-house exhibits, related interpretive programming, and research services year-round. For more information, please visit The AMFF website or call 802-362-3300.
