Jana Waller Bair, renowned conservationist and host of the award winning series “Skull Bound Chronicles,” is thrilled to announce a strategic partnership with the Wild Sheep Foundation (WSF) aimed at enhancing conservation initiatives for wild sheep and their habitats across North America. This collaboration brings together Jana’s passion for wildlife conservation and WSF’s commitment to sustainable wildlife management.
With a rich history in conservation, Jana Waller Bair has dedicated the past 30 years to promoting the protection of wildlife and their ecosystems. As a lifelong hunter and advocate for responsible, science based wildlife management, she has consistently used her platform to educate the public about the importance of conservation efforts. Jana has received numerous awards for her conservation efforts including an Alumni Award in 2016 for ‘Promoting Women In The Outdoors’ with her Public Relations degree from her Alma mater UW-Whitewater, Wisconsin. She received the prestigious Communicator Of The Year Award from the National Wild Turkey Federation in 2016. Waller has also received a Outdoor Sportsman Award from the Outdoor Sportsmen Group for Fan Favorite Show In Conservation in 2019, as well as a CarbonTV Award for Best In Conservation in 2020. Through her engaging storytelling and hands-on experiences showcased in Skull Bound TV Jana has inspired countless individuals to appreciate and protect the natural world.
The Wild Sheep Foundation, a leader in wild sheep conservation in North America and internationally, focused on conserving and enhancing the populations of these iconic species. Since its founding in 1977, WSF has directed more than $100 million to wildlife agency partners and projects aimed at wild sheep restoration, habitat enhancement, research, advocacy, and public education. This partnership with Jana Waller Bair will help raise awareness for the WSF and support the Foundation’s critical initiatives.
“Partnering with the Wild Sheep Foundation is a natural fit for me,” said Waller Bair. “Their dedication to wildlife conservation aligns perfectly with my mission to educate and inspire others to value and protect our natural resources. Together, we can make a significant impact on the future of wild sheep and their habitats which in turn benefits all wildlife.” Jana is also passionate about introducing the hunting lifestyle to women who may not have grown up in family that hunts. “There’s nothing more exciting than showing women all of the incredible benefits of being a hunter which is why I’m excited to also help spread awareness of the WSF’s program Women Hunt®. The Women Hunt® program aims to empower and inspire women in the hunting community. Its mission is to foster a supportive network for women hunters, promote conservation efforts, and provide educational opportunities that enhance skills and knowledge related to hunting and wildlife stewardship. The program focuses on encouraging participation, celebrating the achievements of women in hunting, and building a community that advocates for sustainable wildlife management.
Waller’s passion for conservation extends beyond her television show. She is actively involved in various conservation initiatives and collaborates with organizations that focus on protecting the country’s hunting heritage and wildlife. She has personally raised over $115,000 for various conservation groups by donating her beaded skull artwork. Her hands-on approach and genuine love for the outdoors resonate with her audience, inspiring many to take action in their own communities.
The collaboration will include joint efforts in promoting WSF and their missions through social media, informational seminars, involvement with the Women Hunt Program and in-show content on Skull Bound Chronicles, her digital series now on CarbonTV.
“We are excited to partner with Jana Waller Bair and the Skull Bound team,” said Gray N. Thornton, President and CEO at the Wild Sheep Foundation. “Her commitment to conservation and her ability to connect with people make her an invaluable partner in our mission and our purpose to Put And Keep Wild Sheep On The Mountain®
