You practice situational awareness and train for self-defense situations, and more than likely you carry a tool (or tools) to protect yourself and those you love. You have the mindset to survive a deadly encounter, but have you ever thought of what happens next? How to protect yourself, your assets and your family after you’ve had to use a tool, such as a firearm or any legal or improvised weapon, in self-defense? CCW Safe offers self-defense coverage and so much more. Read on as I highlight membership coverage and discover some benefits that may surprise you.
CCW Safe Coverage
When I think of self-defense coverage, my first thought is for legal representation. CCW Safe offers plans that include criminal and civil defense costs, bond coverage and civil liability. You can even get multi-state coverage with a valid concealed carry permit.
As I mentioned above, my first thought was more about protecting myself financially. So, I was surprised to read about CCW Safe’s holistic approach, which also addresses the emotional and mental side of the aftermath. Licensed psychologists and peers are available for the person covered and for the person’s family.
CCW Safe Resources
While perusing the CCW Safe website, I found a lot of valuable information in the resource tab. From podcasts and videos to articles and graphics, there’s something on every topic I might imagine when thinking about a self-defense incident. There are even some case analysis and self-defense articles I found very interesting. Highly respected, retired clinical and police psychologist Dr. Alexis Artwohl has a five-part series titled “The Survival Triangle,” where she talks about your emotional, physical and legal survival after a deadly force incident.
The Plans
CCW Safe offers numerous plans depending on the applicant’s needs, status and background. Plans are very affordable, ranging from $179/year to $609/year. Monthly payment options and multiple add-ons like increased monetary and spouse coverage are also available. The simple-to-use plan assessment tool, with only four questions, made it easy for me to determine my coverage options.
If I chose the Defender Plan ($209/year or $19/month) for concealed carry permit holders involved in a self-defense incident, I would have the option to increase my bond and civil liability coverage.
Here are just a few of the benefits that I found exceptional:
Testimonials
I reached out to Julie Golob, a professional shooter and media personality in the shooting world, and to Barbara Baird, the publisher of “Women’s Outdoor News,” to ask why they both chose CCW Safe for their self-defense coverage.
Julie said, “CCW Safe isn’t concealed carry insurance – it’s so much more. There’s a huge difference between calling an insurance provider and hoping you’ll be covered compared to being a valued member with a full-time team who’s ready with answers and professional help when you need it most. The latter is what you get with CCW Safe. Knowing that CCW Safe will be in my corner in a self-defense situation gives me a feeling of relief and peace of mind that is invaluable. It’s an honor to work with a company that’s so dedicated to its members.”
Barbara added, “After comparing the merits of insurance-based, concealed-carry coverage and membership concealed-carry programs while at SHOT Show 2024, I came to the conclusion that I needed to discover more about membership type services. I have had insurance for several years, and fortunately, never needed to use it. However, after weighing both types of options, my husband and I decided to buy CCW Safe coverage. I was impressed by the service rendered in the sign-up process, and afterward, I accidentally called the number, and quickly hung up – hoping my “butt dial” didn’t go through. CCW Safe called me right back to see if I was OK.
“I started reading the testimonials from actual people who have benefitted from this coverage, and as a result, began gifting memberships to our sons. The beauty of the coverage, is that we chose to give them the type that also covers a spouse – so the family has coverage, now. It will be renewed annually, and it gives me a peace of mind to know that our boys have this resource, if they ever need it. In this day and age, with the cost of rising expenses, young family members might not think about adding this type of coverage to their lifestyles. This is one of the best gifts you can give your children, in my opinio – whether they are still at home with you, or not.”
Final Thoughts
This is just a brief highlight of everything CCW Safe has to offer. Take the time to visit the website and do your own research. Sadly, just like with other membership programs, sometimes one doesn’t consider the coverage until it’s too late.
