ASA’s Fishing ‘Share the Fun Campaign’ Aims to Spread the Joy

The American Sportfishing Association (ASA) proudly announces the launch of its innovative Fishing Share the Fun campaign. With a mission to amplify the benefits of fishing and its positive impact on individuals and communities, this initiative encourages anglers and companies to share their passion for fishing by spreading the word across social media platforms and sharing tips for getting new folks on the water. 

At the heart of the campaign lies a simple yet powerful idea: sharing the excitement of fishing multiplies the enjoyment. By leveraging the collective reach of anglers worldwide, Fishing Share the Fun aims to create a ripple effect, inspiring more people to discover, or rediscover, the thrill of casting a line and reeling in unforgettable moments on the water with family and friends.

“We believe that fishing is not just a hobby but a gateway to lifelong memories and meaningful connections,” says Mary Beth Long, Vice President of Communications at the American Sportfishing Association. “With Fishing Share the Fun, we want to empower every angler and company in the sportfishing community to become an ambassador for the sport, sharing their experiences far and wide to inspire others to join the adventure.” 

The campaign encourages anglers of all skill levels to participate by sharing their favorite fishing stories, photos, and videos on social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter, using the hashtag #FishingShareTheFun. Additionally, ASA provides a wealth of resources, including informative articles, instructional videos, and interactive tools, available on the campaign’s dedicated webpage, to make the most out of your time on the water.
