“Hey, I have that one just like that!” When you see the gun you own and love in a movie, it’s always exciting. Chances are that if you are like me and own a Walther firearm (or several), you find yourself watching for them in movies or on TV. These handguns are very popular in Hollywood and sought after by movie executives, so you will have no problem finding a Walther in a wide variety of films. There are so many that we can’t cover them all, so here are just a few examples.

In “Victorious Return” (1948), the Walther P38 was the first Walther used in a movie. It can be seen in the hands of a German officer.
In “The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor”(2008), son Alex shows his P38 to his father, Rick.
“Dr. No” (1962) started the Bond franchise, featuring the Walther PPK carried by James Bond, and continuing throughout the many following films.
In “X-Men: First Class” (2011), the PPK is smoothly handled by Moira MacTaggert.
In the comedy “Policy Academy 5” (1988), Mouse pulls out a Walther PPK.
In “Deadpool 2” (2018), the Walther Q5 Match looks intimidating in the hands of Cable, a soldier out of the future.
In “Free Guy”(2021), Molotov Girl expertly shoots a shiny two-tone Q5 Match.
“Lara Croft Tomb Raider”(2001), features Manfred Powell with a P99.
In “John Wick” (2014), the first of the movie series, the assassin, Ms. Perkins attempts to kill Wick with a suppressed P99.
In “The Tomorrow War” (2021), the weapon of choice for Charlie is the Walther PPQ M2.
“John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum” (2019) also features another assassin, Zero, who points his PPQ with a compensator at Wick.
In the comedy “Hitman’s Wife’s Bodyguard” (2021), Sonia wields the PPQ during a shootout.
“John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum” (2019), features the Walther CCP as once again, one of Wick’s would-be assassins tries to kill him – but Wick takes it from him and shoots him.
This list is just a small sampling of Walther firearms in action in the movies, on TV and even in video games and animated programs. This information all came from an informative internet site called Internet Movie Firearms Database. You can look up the firearms to see which shows they have been in, or you can look up a specific show and see all the guns that were used in it. You’ll also find stock photos of the guns along with pictures of the scenes where you’ll see the gun. It’s great fun to poke around the database and get totally lost in it.

Maybe after checking out all the movies that show the Walther you own, you’ll see some others that you now want. If so, then head on over to Walther Arms and pick out your new gun!
