GENESEO, ILL. (05/02/23) – Springfield Armory® is proud to announce the release of drop-in threaded barrels for its Hellcat® 9mm and XD-M® 4.5” 9mm, 10mm, and .45 ACP pistols. They are hammer forged for both durability and precision performance.The threaded barrel kit for the Hellcat features a 3.8” hammer-forged threaded barrel with Self Indexing Compensator as well as an included thread protector. This drop-in barrel system features 1/2×28 threading and is designed to work with any standard configuration 3” Hellcat 9mm pistol. It features a black Melonite finish on the barrel for rust-resistance and lubricity.
The compensator, included with the kit, is made from 8082 aluminum and is anodized matte black. The compensator is designed to help reduce muzzle rise and perceived recoil. Rate of twist of the barrel is 1:10”, and it weighs 2.72 oz. The Self Indexing Compensator weighs 0.7 oz.
Want to upgrade your XD-M pistol to be suppressor ready? Then be sure to check out the hammer-forged threaded barrels designed for the XD-M 4.5”. Available for 9mm, 10mm and .45 ACP XD-M variants, these drop-in threaded barrels feature a black Melonite coating for rust-resistance and lubricity. The barrels come with included thread protectors.
Rate of twist of the XD-M barrels is 1:10” for 9mm, and 1:16” for both 10mm and .45 ACP. The 9mm barrel weighs 4.04 oz., the 10mm barrel 4.45 oz., and the .45 ACP barrel 3.66 oz. The 9mm barrel feature 1/2×28 threading, while the 10mm and .45 ACP barrels sport .578×28 threading.

MSRP of the 9mm Hellcat 3.8″ Threaded Barrel with Self-Indexing Compensator is $199.99. All three of the XD-M threaded barrels in 9mm, 10mm and .45 ACP have an MSRP of $159.99.
