Lockdown has identified four types of firearm owners: trainers, collectors, protectors and explorers. To determine which profile people fit in, Lockdown created a short survey on its website. Not only is it interesting to take the survey, but also, the results offer insight into which Lockdown products may fit your lifestyle. I recently took the Lockdown Persona Survey and found my results rather interesting. I think you will, too.

Without giving away too much information from the survey results, following are the four Lockdown persona profiles with brief descriptions from the website.
1. The Trainer is constantly looking to improve their skills by expanding their knowledge base.
2. The Collector sees the beauty in the beast. They display their firearms to showcase the most coveted and expensive.
3. The Protector wants every advantage. Security systems and firearms are tools, a source of survival.
4. The Explorer knows no bounds and craves the unexpected. Firearms and updated apps are at the top of their checklist.
Taking the Lockdown Persona Survey is super simple. You’re given eight multiple choice questions, six of which are required. Then, you select the box that says you agree to the terms, conditions and privacy policy. Finally, select the “submit” button and voila! Your results are tallied and a page opens to reveal your predominant Lockdown persona.
I answered all eight of the questions when I took Lockdown’s persona survey. My results showed that I’m predominately a protector, 29%. Ironically, I already own and actively use the products recommended for the protector, including Lockdown’s In-Plain-Sight shelf and handgun vault. Read more about them in my previous articles: Lockdown’s In-Plain-Sight Shelf: Decorating with a Purposeand Handgun Vault by Lockdown: Why You Need One (or Two).
At the bottom of the results page I also saw how I ranked in the other areas:
Trainer: 28%
Explorer: 24%
Collector: 19%
At first I was surprised how close the percentages were of my top two scores. Makes sense though, I look at firearms as tools. Whether for protection, work or hunting, they are something I own to get a job done.
We would love to know how you score when taking Lockdown’s persona survey. Tell us if you’re surprised with the results, or if it’s right on target. Then, take a look at the products Lockdown recommends.Consider adding them to your Christmas list or just buying them for yourself. Better yet, if you’re looking for a gift for a 2A person in your life, have them take the survey. Once you know the results, take a look at the Lockdown product suggestions and get your Christmas shopping done early.
