My husband Vic and I are pleased to tell you about two new members of our crew, serving both in the office and on board. They’re “boat dogs” Skye II and Star II, named after our first two cruising canines.
They are both male border collies and it looks like they are going to be good dolphin herders. They joined the “crew” at around two months of age, and they’ve been with us for five months, making them both seven months of age. Puppies – no matter what the breed – are a handful, and that is most assuredly the case with the “S II’s.”
They love coming to the office, and get really excited when people show up. You know you only have one chance to make a first impression, and Skye II and Star II do their very best to make that a delight for our visitors.
And it’s no surprise they both love to go cruising, just like their predecessors. Their world is a mix of sounds and smells and at sea, that’s a limitless blend, far surpassing an on land experience.
Our pups have also showed evidence of being able to hear things we can’t. They sense dolphins before we can even see them and as they get closer they begin to “talk” letting Vic and I know the dolphins are here! That’s something we’re familiar with and so happy to have it happen again.
It seems like the dolphins like them, too. We’ve got to watch the young boys because I think they’d both like to jump in the water and spend some time with their water-bound “friends”.
As you might suspect, our charter operation is “dog friendly” and we are happy to have our clients bring along their canine crew members on their charters.
Pets like Skye II and Star II – are good for us. And when you blend that with a relaxing cruise, you really couldn’t ask for more.
If you’d like to meet our newest crew members, visit our website – https://www.swfyachts.com/staff-photos – and check them out. Star II has the white face. Better yet, come to our office and meet them personally!
