In our series on Project ChildSafe, Julie McQueen, host of “Till Death Do Us Part,” talks about the importance of safe storage of firearms, and particularly, in vehicles.
Julie, along with her husband, Daniel Lee (Nashville recording star and popular outdoorsman), spend at least 280 days annually afield and afloat – hunting and fishing the world. When they’re not traveling, they can be found back home in Tennessee, a place where they love to turkey hunt together. They are co-hosts of the aforementioned TV show on Carbon TV, and produce the TV show “Backstage & Backroads,” now in its 7th year on the Sportsman Channel. The couple also work together on other projects in the outdoor industry, including pre-production, direction, producing and post-production for television show and commercials.
When we approached Julie regarding contributing to our series in this public safety message, she not only agreed, but also quickly turned it around and sent it back. We knew that her engaging personality and popularity within the hunting world would catapult this message to the right audience.
