“I was a little apprehensive about going out hunting at my age – and it’s been eight years since I was on a hunt. But I had my Winchester .270 with me, which is a very easy gun to handle with very little recoil,” said Strodtman.
“My Grandma was hunting at an early age, and a mule deer was her first hunt! So I was excited to take her out for a quality mule deer hunt at Story Creek Outfitters in late October,” explained Bachman. “When we were glassing, we spotted a wide variety of bucks; so I knew this would be a memorable experience for both Grandma and I.”
One monster muley in this area has eluded Bachman before, and they set their sights on him again. Strodtman almost had her chance on him, but that buck is mature and been around the block!
