Meet Debby, our November Fan of the Month from “The Women’s Gun Show” podcast.
The WON: What’s your answer for when people say, “What do you do?”
I’m a mom and grandma, I’ve been retired from nursing for 4 years and enjoy many hobbies including oil painting, gardening and reading.
The WON: Three words that best describe your attitude toward being able to shoot safely and competently.
Education, responsibility, practice.
The WON: What’s your next gun? Can be a dream gun.
I’m interested in getting a shotgun to get more involved in the clay shooting sports and also to participate in a duck hunt in the future.
The WON: Is there training or a trip you’d like to take that revolves around shooting? What is it?
I’d like to zone in on improving my skill with my carry handgun. I recently got my CHP and want to make sure I’m trained efficiently on my draw from IWB or Purse. I plan to schedule a one-on-one training session with an Instructor to work on improving my all-around shooting skills and practice various techniques in order to be able to protect myself if needed.
The WON: How do you talk to women in this election year about your strong Second Amendment views?
It’s important to have to opportunity and right to our firearms if we feel the need to do so. I’m glad the election is over and our 2nd Amendment right is now protected by the current government leaders.
The WON: Anything else?
I go to our local range every 2 weeks to practice my aim and technique. I’m also a member of our local The Well Armed Woman Bayou Chapter in Houma, La. I’ve participated in IDPA and plan to get more involved in this skill set as well as participating in clay shooting competitions here.
