Minneapolis, MINN. (December 2, 2016) – Attendees of the Shooting, Hunting and Outdoor Trade Show (SHOT Show) will have the chance to use their sneakers for more than just traversing the show floor when they run in the 2nd Annual Moose on the Loose 5K hosted by Julie McQueen and Jimmy Herman on Monday, January 16 at 4 p.m. The event is pegged as a fun run and doesn’t cost a dime to enter, but attendees will be encouraged to donate online to Wishes 4 Warriors and Stewards of Wildlife.

“The Moose On The Loose 5K is a great way to combine charity, healthy lifestyles, and industry friendships during SHOT Show. I’m honored and excited to host this event again this year! It’s going to be a great time!” stated Julie McQueen, host of “Till Death Do Us Part” and co-host of Moose on the Loose 5k.

Started in 2016, the first Moose on the Loose 5K began with Julie McQueen and Cam Hanes as hosts and word spread via social media. That event had 80 runners participating with several organizations involved to hand out water and other giveaways.
The 2017 event currently has organizations WSI Sports creating t-shirts for the first 80 participants, Radyne is ensuring all runners are hydrated by delivering water, Wilderness Athlete is bring samples of their hydration and energy products, Girls with Guns Clothing will provide an outfit from their athletic line to the winner of the lady racers, National Deer Alliance is helping to off-set race costs, Mule Deer Foundation’s Ray Crow will be serving fun beverages, and others to be named.
