The Winchester 94 .30-30 carbine lever-action gun was purchased by Grandfather Bachman from a cousin after it was brought over from Germany. Dale Bachman even took his first whitetail with this gun when he was 14-years-old. “You put that lever action gun in your hands and with the open sights, you just feeling like you’re hunting – you are ready to go,” he concluded.
Melissa knew the perfect hunt to use this gun was a Texas hog hunt. But it was August and the temps were soaring past 100 degrees. After sitting in a stifling blind, she switches to spot and stalk where the lightweight lever-action gun really shows its value.
