You can be privy to what’s happening right now as Julie Golob goes on her first elk hunt. The captain of Smith & Wesson’s shooting team not only is an accomplished pro shooter, she’s also an avid and adroit hunter. This week, she’s in Colorado with other members of Thompson Center and Smith and Wesson, trying to fill her elk tag.
So far along the way, she’s been hit by hail and almost didn’t make it to the hunt — thanks to airline problems. You can follow her updates at her public Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/JulieGolob1?fref=ts
We’re following and updating at our social media sites, as well. Fingers are crossed, because we know that Julie will relish a harvest such as an elk, and fill her freezer with healthy meat and share her delectable “Field to Fork” recipes with us. In fact, she’s promised a photo feature when all’s said and done, so watch for that, too!
