WEST HARTFORD, Conn. (Oct. 3, 2014) – Colt’s Manufacturing Company congratulates sponsored shooter Maggie Reese on her recent successes on both the USPSA and 3-Gun Nation Pro Tour competition circuits. Reese placed third overall in the Women’s Production Division at the USPSA Handgun Nationals, followed by earning a qualifying spot at the 3-Gun Nation Pro Series Championship shoot-off at the completion of Event #4.
“This was a very busy and challenging week for Maggie with two important matches, and we are very proud of her accomplishments,” said Joyce Rubino, Vice President of Marketing for Colt’s Manufacturing Company. “Maggie is a very versatile shooter, and her results over these two competitions in less than two weeks are evidence of that.”
Reese claimed third overall in the Women’s Production Division at the USPSA Handgun Nationals with 1,843.1070 match points. The match ran Sept. 21-28 at the Southern Utah Shooting Sports Park in St. George, Utah. This match also brought Reese together with her United States Ladies Production members Julie Golob, Sara Dunivin and Cindi Thomas. The team will represent the United States at the IPSC World Shoot in Frostproof, Fla. on Oct. 13.
“It was a lot of fun shooting with my US Ladies Production teammates at this match,” said Reese. “The stages were very challenging and gave us great practice time together. To top it all off, we made a top four sweep in the division for women at the match, which hopefully bodes well for the IPSC match.”
After completing the USPSA Handgun Nationals event, Reese was immediately off to the 3-Gun Nation Pro Series Event #4 match at the US Shooting Academy in Tulsa, Okla. Reese’s performances over the four 3-Gun Nation Pro Series events have qualified her to compete in the Championship shoot-off scheduled for Oct. 25 in Tulsa.
