Amy Batson appointed Chief Fundraising Officer for Ducks Unlimited

Ducks Unlimited (DU) announced today that Amy Batson, previously National Director of Fundraising Operations for DU, has been promoted to the position of Chief Fundraising Officer (CFO) for the organization. “We had several great candidates apply for this position, but we feel Amy is the best choice to assist us in accomplishing our conservation mission,” said DU CEO Dale Hall. “Amy is no stranger to DU, and has been the director of fundraising operations for the past four years. She is very familiar with DU’s fundraising system and we expect great things from her.”

A native of Shreveport, La., and a DU employee for the past 15 years, Batson has also served as assistant controller and held several director-level positions including director of business systems and director of business operations in addition to her current role. Her new responsibilities will begin immediately.

“I am honored to have been chosen as the person to succeed Jim West as Chief Fundraising Officer,” Batson said. “I’m excited to get started and to continue the work Jim and our fundraising team of volunteers and staff began so many years ago, and I look forward to the opportunities and the challenges that this new role entails.”

Among the many responsibilities Batson will have as CFO, she will be responsible for leading all DU’s grassroots, major gifts, corporate relations, direct response and other fundraising operations; implementing and executing fundraising strategies to meet DU’s business and strategic plans and working closely with staff liaisons and senior vice presidents to assure programs are developed and growing.
