Steelhead Fishing on the Trinity River
It just doesn’t get any better than this!
The dates are November 4-6. The cost is $325 which will include two night’s lodging at Indian Creek Lodge (http://www.iclodge.net/), Friday and Saturday evening dinners, wine tasting, appetizers, equipment, and all the fun you can have. The guide service is extra. The standard guide service is $200 a day per person with two in a boat. You can be guided Saturday and Sunday or just one day and walk and wade the next. The guide will provide your fishing equipment. If you do not use a guide, you will have to bring your own fishing equipment (rod & reel). BOW has waders and boots to use.
Indian Creek Lodge is just 35 miles west of Redding and I-5, on Hwy 299. The Lodge is in the heart of the renowned Trinity River salmon and steelhead drifts, and just a few miles from the charming gold rush town of Weaverville and trailheads into the Trinity Alps Wilderness
We’ll have lots of time to fish and the evenings will be filled with social time, great food, a presentation on Friday evening by Liam Gogan, proprietor of Trinity River Outfitters, and a Saturday evening wine tasting. I’ve also secured some very nice silent auction items that we will have available for bid throughout the weekend, so stop at the ATM before you arrive. Whew! Now that’s a full schedule!
Check-in is at after 3:00 on Friday. The trip will end on Sunday afternoon after fishing. The exact time depends on the fishing! You are responsible for your breakfasts and lunches.
You will love the accommodations at the Indian Creek Lodge and your hosts, John and Elena Letton. We will be staying in rooms with kitchenettes. All of the units have microwaves and mini-fridges, coffee makers, stoves, and are furnished with flatware, pots and pans, etc. We will be assigning rooms so as to house everyone comfortably. You will be sharing a room or two with one or two other gals. If you want to take advantage of the beautiful weekend and extend your stay by a few days, call the Lodge at 530-623-6294 to make your reservations.
To register go to http://www.bowca.org/ and click on Steelhead Fishing on the right side of the homepage. When you sign up, please let me know if you will be requiring guide services for one or two days and if you have a guide preference. I will give you the guide’s information so you can make contact. Sign up early since this is the busy time of year for the guides and they book up quickly.
