Three opportunities for Becoming an Outdoors Woman, including a shooting sports clinic for women with physical disabilities

Dear Friends and Fans of Becoming an Outdoors-Woman:

I am happy to announce three diverse opportunities for the diverse audiences BOW serves.

The first is a shooting sports clinic for women with physical disabilities. If you or someone you know might be interested in this safe and fun day of shooting small bore rifles and archery equipment, check out the workshop description here: http://www.uwsp.edu/cnr/bow/wihome/Shooting%20Sports.pdf. The workshop will be held at the Columbus Sportsman’s Association near Madison, WI on June 25, 2011.

The second workshop is a really special event to be held August 26-28, 2011. It’s Happy Anniversary BOW – 1991-2011. The very first BOW workshop was held at Treehaven Field Station near Tomahawk, WI. We’ve been back every summer since to continue the tradition of learning outdoor skills in a safe environment with the camaraderie of other women. This year, BOW Founder Christine Thomas will be on hand to share some stories, help with teaching, and add to the merriment. To join us for this special celebration fill out your registration form here: http://www.uwsp.edu/cnr/bow/wihome/Aug11%20brochure.pdf .

The third event is a BOW Destinations Adventure to Belize, January 28-February 5, 2012.. This trip is being led by our popular instructor and adventurer Sterling Strathe. It’s an all-inclusive trip featuring bird watching, cave touring, exploring Mayan ruins, hiking, snorkeling, kayaking, swimming in natural pools, participating in cultural activities and more. A full description and registration are available here: http://www.uwsp.edu/cnr/bow/Belize%20BOW%20Adventure.aspx.

Also, there are still 4 spots available for the Rose Farm Fly Fishing weekend, June 3-4, 2011, near Waupaca. Join us for fishing, food, stories and more: http://www.uwsp.edu/cnr/bow/wihome/RoseFarm2011.pdf

A very happy spring to all and I look forward to seeing many of you at a BOW event this year.

Peggy

I bet they’d love to have you on the site! Maybe you should call over there, Sara? After all, it’s not every day a Top Shot contestant appears at a BOW event? Let us know how it works out, OK?
