On Apr. 20, 2011, pro hunter Marti Davis guided disabled veteran Joel Tucker at the Missouri Department of Conservation’s Any Dalton Range, outside of Springfield, Mo. It was Tucker’s first turkey taken, on the Wheelin’ Sportsmen hunt sponsored by the National Wild Turkey Federation. Marti said, ” We hunted a private farm near Willard. This longbeard came into the Carry-Lite HD Decoys shortly after flying down. At 6:22 Joel put him on the ground! The gobbler weighed 20 lbs, had 10″ beard and 1 1/8″ spurs. I was using the Knight & Hale Glass Hammer call.” Marti is on the pro-staffs of Knight & Hale, Mossy Oak and Moultrie Products. She also contributes to The WON’s Gear Court. Marti added, “It was an honor to assist Joel on this hunt.”
Joel is a disabled veteran and it was an honor to assist him on this hunt!
