Julie Goloski-Golob on the cover of The Blue Press

The company, located in Scottsdale, Arizona, is the world’s largest manufacturer and distributor of cartridge handloading presses and accessories. The magazine takes its name from the Dillon presses, painted a distinctive blue.

The cover was photographed by Yamil R. Sued of Phoenix, Team Smith & Wesson’s official photographer, who also recently signed with Dillon Precision to photograph the company’s products and people.

“It is very exciting to see Dillon Precision feature women who are active in the shooting sports, and I am proud to be on the February cover,” said Julie. “Dillon Precision’s reloading equipment is widely considered some of the best in the world, and many look forward to both the catalog aspect of the publication and its informative articles.”

Julie joins a small, elite group of champion shooters ever to appear on a cover of The Blue Press. Julie spoke of two well-known shooters. “The action shooting sport’s ‘Great One,’ Rob Leatham is the only man to appear on a Blue Press cover, and Julie Nowlin, since retired from competition, appeared one time as well.”

Inside the February issue is a brief article about Julie’s forthcoming how-to book for shooters, due to be published by Skyhorse Publishing in fall 2011.
