Guru Huntress: Oh where, oh where to put my waders? Thanks, H.S.

As I was packing for my upcoming duck and goose hunt in Arkansas, I had one item that was really causing me some grief: my chest waders with built-in boots. No matter what I tried to pack the waders in, it just didn’t work.

My first thought was that if I pack the waders in my rolling bag with my hunting clothes, I would have to repack the waders for the trip home and it is likely they were going to have mud on them. I had a duffle bag that I tried to use, but the waders were too bulky to pack easily in the duffle.

It crossed my mind that the best solution would be a mesh decoy bag. I turned to the Internet to find a mesh decoy bag big enough to store my waders and convenient enough for travel purposes. In my search for a decoy bag, I ran across the perfect solution for my quest, a Hunter’s Specialties Wader and Boot Bag.

My chest waders with the built-in boots fit perfectly in the roomy bag. It also incorporates a liner that is water resistant that makes it perfect for wet or muddy waders or boots. The adjustable handle, which doubles as a shoulder strap, has a padded hand guard.

The HS Wader and Boot Bag is a roomy bag made of heavy-duty, water resistant polyester, with a removable PVC-coated inner liner and built-in adjustable hand/shoulder strap. The bag is large enough to store chest waders, hip boots or other waterfowl gear. The bag stands open by itself for easy use. Interior dimensions: 21”L, 12”W, 15.5”H. The wader and boot bag is available in Advantage Max-4 HD® and has a MSRP of $44.99. You can see this product, as well as other fine products by Hunter’s Specialties at http://www.hunterspec.com.
