You know we like to feature outdoor blogs that highlight women who live the outdoor lifestyle. At Outdoors Women, they’ve chosen to feature Erika Ochs. She hunts and fishes and is working on a degree in Conservation Management.
My name is Erika Ochs, I am 21 from Wallkill, New York. My nick name is Fruitcake! I am an only child, raised by my two wonderful parents, Michael and Melissa. I have two children, they both have four legs; Abby (beagle/lab mix) and Rocky(chocolate lab).
What is your involvement with the outdoors?
My passion for the outdoors is everywhere. Whether I’m fishing, hunting, or just shooting in the back yard I’m there… You can either find me at a small body of water, or up in a tree stand most days after work. Fly Fishing is a big passion of mine; there’s nothing like catching a steelhead on a fly you’ve tied on your own.
The Women's Outdoor News, aka The WON, features news, reviews and stories about women who are shooting, hunting, fishing and actively engaging in outdoor adventure. This publication is for women, by women. View all posts by The WON
