Registration Open for ‘BOW in the Snow,’ Wisconsin

You may now register for “BOW in the Snow,” a series of workshops held from Feb. 20 to 22 at Treehaven Field Station, Tomahawk, Wis. Sponsored by the Becoming an Outdoors-Woman program, participants may choose courses such as Ice Fishing, Archery, Snowmobiling, Cross-County Skiing, Dog Sledding, Snowshoeing, Furbearer Ecology, Sausage Making, Knot Tying,  Rifle Shooting, Nature Journaling, Firearm Safety, and more.

This program is for you if…

  • You have never tried one of these activities but havehoped for an opportunity to learn.
  • You are a beginner who wants to improve your skills.
  • You know how to do some of these activities but wouldlike to try your hand at new ones.
  • You enjoy the camaraderie of like-minded individuals.

Scholarships

Limited funds are available for scholarships to first-time participants. Please send a letter explaining your need for a scholarship along with the registration form & a check for $150.00. Preference will be given to students, low- income households, & Wisconsin residents.

All equipment is provided. Registration fees are $339 per person for on-site lodging, and $289 with no lodging. Some classes have additional fees.
