The North Dakota Game and Fish Department is offering a series of winter workshops for Beyond BOW (Becoming an Outdoors-Woman) participants. Check out the many opportunities to learn new skills.
Create your own useful and attractive hiking staff. Participants will choose their own sticks and learn about different types of wood that make useful staffs. Participants will get hands-on experience as they customize their own staff.
Learn the fundamentals of construction and care of a fishing rod. Each participant will build their own rod to take home. In addition, they will learn how to match the rod, reel and line to optimize their fishing enjoyment.
Did you bag your first pheasant this year? Did you shoot a beautiful male wood duck in prime breeding plumage? Wouldn’t it be nice to have them mounted and displayed in your “man cave” so you could tell all your friends about your hunting story. Forget the taxidermist, here’s a chance to do it yourself and save a little money. Learn how to skin, flesh and mount your prize like a pro.
