Leupold has added Wendy Cunningham to its marketing staff, bringing additional expertise to the optics authority’s social media efforts.
Cunningham brings a wide variety of experience in the shooting and hunting industry to Leupold. Before she launched her own marketing and graphics firm focused on outdoor recreation, Cunningham was a traditional and new media graphic designer for the National Rifle Association’s National Firearms Museum.
In addition, Cunningham managed the museum’s social media efforts and campaigns, including cohosting several “Curator’s Corner” videos with museum Director Jim Supica.
“Wendy brings a solid background and expertise in building social media campaigns that have targeted our core audience,” said Rob Morrison, vice president of global marketing at Leupold & Stevens, Inc. “We are very excited to have her join our marketing team as we continue to expand our digital brand-building efforts.”
An honors graduate of the University of New Hampshire’s Art History program, Cunningham was a curatorial assistant at the National Gallery of Art before her passion for firearms led her to the NRA.
In addition to her experience with graphics and design, Cunningham’s articles have also appeared in several firearms magazines such as GunUp, Recoil and the Western Shooting Journal.
