The Celebration: This year we celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Friends of NRA Program.  The Mid-Missouri Chapter would like to welcome you to their FNRA banquet, and would like to thank everyone for their support. Whether this is your 20th event or you are attending for the first time, you won’t want to miss this extravaganza.

With your help we are able to make a significant impact in the lives of thousands of Missouri’s young citizens. We hope you will come join us at this very special event.

The Original: The first-ever Friends of NRA event was held in Columbia on October 10, 1992 under the leadership of local businessman, Larry Potterfield of Midway USA.  This event jump-started the national Friends of NRA Program which, to date, has raised over $180 million through more than 14,000 events.  Last year, nationally, the Friends of NRA program raised in excess of $20 million, thanks to supporters who attended almost 1,050 events nationally.

The Cause: All proceeds from this event benefit the NRA Foundation, with half of all funds allocated to stay within Missouri. Proceeds fund youth safety programs, range development and improvement, firearms education and training, natural resource conservation and much more.  To date, there have been 375 grants awarded in Missouri totaling roughly $2 million. Nationally, over 18,000 grants have been awarded, for a total of $162 million.
